I am only three feet six inches tall and everyone told my mom and dad I would never walk, never have children and I would be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. Nick changed me
I went with my family to go see Nick at Ventura's bible fellowship church. Not knowing what to expect i never realized how his message would change me. After listening to his speech, i realized thst many people have life worse than mine. It gave me a new outlook on life and he helped me open my life to God and show the real me! My approach to witnessing in the business world - without being pushy
I started to take your DVD along in my briefcase on all of my business appointments. Instead of saying, "I've got a video about Jesus I want you to see", which puts people back on their heels, instead, while shuffling through folders and documents; I casually placed your DVD in plain view on the table for a few seconds. Comforting the hurts and hearts of children
This morning I walked in to my office and began to cry. 20 years of giving comfort to women and children, and today I didn’t know what to do next.
You see. God placed me in and out of hospitals for nine years of my young adult life. It was there where I would see children who were ill with no family. Day after day they would sit alone in their hospital bed with no family or friends. The doctors and the nurses became their family and their friends, but still that wasn’t the same.

Max and the Miracle
A few years ago, my oldest son, Max was diagnosed with Leukemia. He was two and a half at the time. His treatment went smoothly and we finished up in January. Towards the end of this part of his therapy, we were getting excited that he was finally going to be done. With three months to go, we got a phone call that we needed to come in. By the grace of God I am alive today. 7 years ago I was sitting in front of a grocery store waiting for a ride and I was hit by an SUV and thrown through the plate glass window of the store. I remained awake for the entire accident and did not go numb or black out. I saw my legs demolished and was sure I was going to die. I did not die and after 100 hours of surgery, my right leg was saved, although I did lose my left leg. Overcoming Through Christ

In the midst of a storm
When I was fourteen years old, in September of 2004, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor called a Craniopharyngioma. Six days after I was diagnosed, I was in surgery, having it removed. The doctors were able to remove eighty percent of the tumor. Two months later, I received radiation treatments at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis for six weeks straight through Thanksgiving and Christmas. I left all my friends and family behind in Oregon except for my mom; she came with me. My family and I live in Oregon and many people ask us why we chose a hospital so far from home.
